Global demand for mini excavators broke through the 300,000 units mark for the first time in 2019. Sales of course declined last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but with only an estimated downturn of 10% in worldwide sales, it was one of the least affected equipment types. Demand is expected to start to rise again this year, and the growing popularity of mini excavators means a new high in sales is forecast for 2023 or 2024 at the latest.
