So, here we are then: 2021. This year has got an uphill struggle if it wants to be anything like as eventful as its predecessor, although it certainly got off the mark quickly with events in America surrounding the transfer of power from Trump to Biden. This isn't the place to get involved in politics, but it is surely uncontroversial to say that the events were, at the very best, unseemly. However, the US does now have a new President who has already made a number of decisions that will impact the construction industry, which you can read about on our news pages. The Democrats winning the two Senate seats in Georgia's run-off elections means that Biden's administration now has a far better chance of actually enacting some of his ambitious policy proposals - let's hope wide-scale infrastructure investment follows shortly.
