With oil prices less than half what they were just three years ago, one might expect Middle Eastern countries to have seen a sharp drop in industrial investment as the petrodollars dried up. However, country-specific reasons have helped maintain healthy economic activity sustaining continued demand for dry bulk materials across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)) region.
