Camera production in focus

On a misty November morning in Breda, The Netherlands, Thomson officially opened its newly modernised and upgraded camera factory which is equipped to produce every model in the Grass Valley range from the LDK 300 to the Viper Filmstream. The day got off to a troubled but amusing start when Jan Eveleens, general manager of the camera business unit, delivered a speech which was marred by a huge projector which promptly broke down and refused to be coaxed back to life by Thomson engineers. After that, the serious business of showing guests round the redesigned plant began.
