A - levels exam [examen artium] 1926 and -27 both on the Latin- and the science-tracks (mark : extremely satisfactory [svaert tilfredsstillende]), scientific state exam spring 1932 in mathematics, geography, mechanics, with a major in physics (special thesis in optics). Since then I have worked in secondary school, except for 2 1/2A years (1942-1944), when I fought voluntarily at the Eastern front and 3 1/2 year (May 1945-Desem-ber 1948), when I was sentenced to forced labour due to my front-line action.
