India needs to play tight balancing act with Russian and US relations

Russia's leaning to either-China or India can have serious implications on the geo politics of the region. Chinese growing affinity towards Pakistan is a major worry. While the Pakistanis should be wary of the Chinese intentions, terrorism could be a major spoil sport for Pakistan Chinese relations. Russia sees China as a major buyer of defence equipment given its poor relations with the US in terms of defence cooperation and even a better market for their defence exports given the huge Chinese budget and propensity to spend on aerospace and defence.
