Passenger traffic growth rate slowed to 3.6% in August; air freight volumes increased by 4.8%

Global airport passenger traffic lost momentum from a growth rate of 5.4% in July to 3.6% in August. International passenger traffic grew 4.0% while domestic passenger traffic slowed to 3.3%, the lowest growth rate since June 2014. Accumulated passenger traffic grew 5.2% from January to August 2016 as compared to the previous year, according to Airports Council International (ACI).
