Google was left reeling in May at a Court of Justice of the European Union ruling forcing it to remove on request queries where its search results were "inadequate, irrelevant or no longer relevant, or excessive in relation to the purposes for which they were processed". The so called "right to be forgotten ruling" has divided opinion and Google has been inundated with requests from people to remove results.
