There isn't a single item. Our country has enormous strengths: its dynamism, willingness to take risks, flexible labor markets and all the rest. In a rapidly changing global environment — and we do have a transforming global environment — that could create favorable economic conditions for a long time to come. On the other hand, we also face hugely consequential challenges. That's what we're focused on in the Hamilton Project [at the Brookings Institution]. I'd put them in four or five categories.
