Lionel Zinsou doesn't lack ambition. Last June, Zinsou, 62, resigned as chair and CEO of PAI Partners, a €7.9 billion ($8.6 billion), Paris-based private equity firm, to accept his appointment as prime minister of Benin. Nowthe financier, a dual citizen of France and the West African nation, is running for president in the February 28 election. Zinsou, whose uncle was an early president of Benin after its independence from France in 1960, has been prepping for the job: Since 2014 the chair of the French-African Foundation for Growth has led talks with the international community to raise some €18 billion for Benin's economic expansion.
