摘要

In the present study, we have attempted to estimate the resolving power of a small-scale neutron radioscopy system, which is being up-graded. In radioscopic images unsharpness is an important factor characterising the image quality; this has been estimated from the digital image of a physically sharp edge object. An edge response function so obtained has been used to determine the spatial resolution in terms of a line spread function and a modulation transfer function. The results of initial experiments have provided a quantitative measure of resolution. A procedure for measurement of these transfer functions and a method to confirm accuracy of measurements using simple test objects are reported in this paper.
