Branch visit to GE Aviation, Nantgarw

The intrepid members of the South Wales Branch headed into the valleys on a chilly Thursday evening in March as we had been promised a tour of the GE Aviation Engine Maintenance and Overhaul facility at Nantgarw, just north of Cardiff. As most NDT people love nothing more than a tour of a facility to check out other people's NDT equipment, the turnout was excellent - word of the visit had spread far and wide and a group from Somerset had decided to come in convoy across the Severn to join us, swelling visitor numbers.
