The Army, like the other services, has delivered an unusually short unfunded requirements list to Congress for fiscal year 2010, detailing needs totaling less than $1 billion.rnThe document, dated May 19 and written by Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey, was sent to Rep. John McHugh (R-NY), ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, and outlines just $952.8 million in outstanding Army needs. That represents about a quarter of the nearly $4 billion put forth in FY-09.rnSister publication Inside the Army obtained a copy of the document.rnIn a cover letter to McHugh, Casey writes that the unfunded requirements list "describes several programs we could execute in FY 2010 if additional resources were made available.
