摘要

Army and Air Force officials are fleshing out a concept for unmanned aerial systems that gives joint battlefield commanders expanded authority to deploy drones for ongoing operations, regardless of service designation, Inside the Pentagon has learned.rnThe "Task 11" concept was approved by Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz and Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey two months ago, Air Combat Command's Predator and Reaper operations branch chief, Maj. Matt Martin, said in an April 22 interview. Now officials are working on follow-on concept of operations (CONOPS) to implement the concept.
