The Federal Aviation Administration this week solicited the public for input on its privacy policy approach to integrating unmanned aircraft into the national airspace. The call for public input was made just as the FAA has moved further toward establishing six test site locations where unmanned aerial systems can be integrated into the national airspace. In February, the agency laid out guidelines for its site-selection process via a screening information request and, in about two months, has received interest from more than 50 applicants from 37 states, FAA spokesman Les Dorr told Inside the Air Force in an April 1 email. Now, as part of the integration process, the agency wants to include "views from the public with respect to proposed privacy language to be included in agreements with each test site operator," according to a March 28 notice posted on Regulations.gov.
