STRATCOM Signs New Space Situational Awareness Data-Sharing Agreement

U.S. Strategic Command has recently entered into a new space situational awareness data-sharing agreement with a European organization that provides weather and climate-related satellite products to users. In an Aug. 29 announcement, STRATCOM said it signed an agreement Aug. 9 with the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. STRATCOM already has similar agreements with Japan, Australia, Italy, Canada and France, as well as a number of organizations, as part of an ongoing effort to operate in the increasingly contested, congested and competitive space arena.
