Air Force publishes new acquisition overview of major programs in FY-17

The Air Force on Tuesday released a new report directed by service Secretary Heather Wilson to offer an overview of how the service handled its 465 programs of record in fiscal year 2017 and summarizing plans for F Y-18 and FY-19. "We are committed to reducing costs across program life cycles, and ongoing initiatives have avoided more than $13 billion in cost since 2011," the March 13 report states.
