Brazilian pulp exports increase

The latest statistics released by the Brazilian Tree Industry Assn (Iba) show that hardwood pulp exports rose 8.6% to 7.4 million tonnes in January-August 2015 compared to the same period of 2014. According to Iba's report, Brazilian pulp production increased 5.1% to 11.2 million tonnes year-over-year. In, August alone, production was 7.1% higher at 1.5 million tonnes.
