摘要

We revealed for the first time the catalytic effect of boron on the graphite-to-diamond transformation. We determined the conditions for the formation of diamonds in the carbon-boron system, synthesized thermostable diamond-based polycrystals, and studied their phase composition and physicomechanical properties. The formation of boron carbide of variable composition was demonstrated.
