Martek showcases vegetarian DHA omega-3 for every stage of life at Vitafoods

Martek Biosciences, producer of algae-derived DHA omega-3, will emphasise the multiple health benefits of DHA at Vitafoods this year. A key component in eye, brain and heart tissue, DHA is an essential fatty acid that promotes health throughout the body at every stage of life. Martek produces //fe'sDHA~(TM), a vegetarian alternative to fish oil, which can be used in a range of applications including supplements, baked goods, confectionery, dairy and drinks. Up to 97% of fatty acids in the brain and 93% in the retina are constituted by DHA omega-3, highlighting the strong link between adequate intake of DHA and improved brain and eye health.
