Two University Deputy Presidents Awarded Prestigious Science and Technology Medals

At the President's Science and Technology Awards this year, the Deputy Presidents of Nanyang Technological University (MTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) were both awarded Singapore's top science accolade. This is the first time that more than one person has won the medal since the National Science and Technology Awards were rebranded as the President's Science and Technology Awards in 2009. Prof Freddy Boey, Provost and Deputy President of NTU, and Prof Barry Halliwell, Deputy President (Research ft Technology) of NUS received the medals from President Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam at the ceremony held in the Gardens by the Bay's Flower Dome on 25 September 2013.
