The Association for Cultural Equity hosts a large digital collection of folk and roots music gathered by the great ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax. The database is a priceless cultural resource with thousands of performances that Lomax recorded between 1946 and 1990, mostly in the American South, but he also recorded music in the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The collection also contains videos, broadcasts, interviews, and reference material.
