Digital Images for the Information Professional

摘要

Digitization for libraries, archives, cultural heritage, and memory institutions has been a boon to the exchange of information across physical borders around the world and to the online experiences for many visitors to these respective sites. What were once collection-based artifacts have become digital images complete with narratives readily available from any electronic screen or device that accesses the Internet. Along with this dynamic change is that the role of these very institutions has been reposi-tioned and transformed. Institutional challenges, however, still are evolving into multifaceted solutions.
