The Federal Bureau of Investigation’sn(FBI) $451nmillion case managementnsystem, coined the “Sentinel,”nhas been delayed yet again. Accordingnto media reports, thenfull deployment of the system,nwhich will be usednto search and analyzencriminal andnnational securityndata, has beennpushed back tonSeptember 2010.nThe case managementnsystemnwas started inn2005 and isnbeing developednby Lockheed Martin. It is expectednto replace the FBI’snlargely paper-based operationnwith a single digital system.nIn November 2007, the FBInextended the completion datenfrom December 2009 to Junen2010, InformationWeek reported.nThe latest delay was reportednin an audit by the FBI’s inspectorngeneral.
