Introduction: Second Association of Internet Researchers special issue of Information,Communication & Society

摘要

This issue is the second collaboration between the Association of Internet Researchers and the journal Information, Communication & Society. As in the first AoIR/iCS special issue (Haythornthwaite & Wellman 2008), the papers presented here were first selected from abstracts submitted to, and later presented at, the 2008 Internet Researchers (IR) conference. Full papers were then submitted to the editors in September 2008. Thanks go to the authors for their efforts in meeting a tight schedule, and to the conference organizers for their work in making the conference possible: Brian Loader, Program Chair, Lisbeth Kastrup, Conference Chair, Thomas Jeppesen, Conference Coordinator, and Charles Ess, President of AoIR.
