With the internet increasingly encroaching upon every aspect of many societies, it seems almost inevitable that such a rapid all encompassing change would bring about concerns of addiction as individuals appear to spend increasing amounts of time engaging with information technology. As has often been the case with technologically reactive moral panics, the focus is drawn to children, and how these technologies may be affecting their development.
