A new approach to the study of the sintering behavior of ceramic body is presented. This method is based on the direct in situ observation of the sample during the firing cycle using a new hot stage microscope. Four industrial porcelain gres batches were tested using the MISURA hot stage microscope and the results are compared with the ones obtained firing the samples in an industrial kiln. The Sintering curves, at a heating rate of 70℃/min, were obtained with the new hot stage microscope MISURA, enable to highlight small differences in the sintering behavior, which are not apparent in the samples fired in the industrial kiln.
