Study of Physical Properties of Raw Silk

摘要

The study established that after degumming, the rate of moisture absorption, maximum of breaking load, elongation at breakage, and rupture of raw silk of sorted cocoons decrease with decreasing of quality of cocoons. This highlights the importance of good quality cocoons in manufacture of high quality textiles which need high resistance properties and durability.
