Safety is of paramount importance for operational efficiency, considering the massive assets being utilized for rail transportation. With a view to ensure safety, various departments are given time bound targets for completion of maintenance works which are essential to ensure safety. Even as it is upto the concerned departments to ensure strict adherence of guidelines/rules issued from time to time through circulars/Manuals, the Safety wing will constantly monitor the day to day working through surprise inspections. Corrective and remedial measures are imparted through counseling, conducting seminars, periodical/Special safety drives, display of postures, distribution of pamphlets containing rules etc. and suggestions to improve the safety aspects.
