Quality Department: It's Important Role

Quality Deptt. in MCF plays an important role in production. Its major activities are as follows: 1 Stage inspection: Stage inspection, also known as In-process inspection is done of following shops: 1. Shell, 2. Bogie and Wheel 3. Painting and Garnet, 4.Furnishing Self-Inspection Performa (SIP) are prepared and filled by the production shop at each stage and the same is verified by the Quality department. Based upon the inspection and SIP given by the production, Quality control inspection (QCI) report is prepared by Quality department. Inspection of safety items viz Bogie frame, Bogie Bolster & Control arm is carried out on CNC 3Dimension CMM (co ordinate measuring machine) in Bogie shop to ensure dimensional & geometrical accuracy.
