摘要

The project of setting up of Rail Coach Factory (Now Modern Coach Factory), at Lalganj Raebareli was sanctioned vide Pink Book item number 10 of Supplementary demands for grants in FY 2006-07 at an abstract cost of ￥1685.00Crores only "Setting up of Rail Coach Factory at Rae Bareli with a production capacity of 1000 Coaches per annum." The project is being carried out of nomination basis to M/s IRCON International for which Railway has entered into a contract with M/s IRCON International vide contract No. RCF/RBL (project) 2010/5 dated 16.07.2010. The detail estimate has been prepared by M/s IRCON based on the scope of work mentioned in the above contract. The detailed estimate cost was sanctioned by Railway Board at ￥2556.8 Cr. Further the Revised estimate made by M/s IRCON based on the additional requirement of MCF/RBL in Civil estimate as well as few in Mechanical estimate. The variation in Civil estimate is of ￥412.25 Cr. and in Mechanical estimate ￥99.46 Cr. which is 46.87% in Civil portion of detail sanctioned estimate and 9.62% in Mechanical portion of detail sanctioned estimate. The revised estimate was sanctioned by Railway Board in March '2016 at the ￥2973.30 Cr. for IRCON portion. For land estimate and other MCF/ RBL portion no revision was prepared as a result the total revised becomes ￥2973.30 + ￥218.71 Cr = ￥3192.01 Cr. The work is almost toward completion stage with target of Mar'2019.
