Indian Railways - A Caring Organization

Railway operations continue on 24×7 basis, all 365 days of the year. Railwaymen throughout the length and breadth of this country are involved in this stupendous effort of movement of goods and passengers, which in sheer numbers exceeds the population of many countries. It is, therefore, imperative to see that their legitimate rights are ensured and their welfare looked after. While wages and admissible allowances are paid to employees as per the statutory norms by way of cashless transaction in their bank accounts, Indian Railways has taken many steps towards employee welfare which have benefited not the Railway employees but also their family members.
