Evaluation of the expectation value of interaction energy of electrons in helium-like atoms

A process is being discussed to obtain the expectation value of interaction energy of electrons in helium-like atomic systems. The wave function is described by the product of single particle wave functions ψ_i; an iterative method is suggested and the ψ_i's are obtained, at each stage of iteration, by perturbation method.
