A Review on Ambient Air Pollution Due to Stone Crusher Industries and its Impact on Human Health and Vegetation

摘要

The present literature review encompasses sources and impact of suspended particulate matter (PM_(10)and PM_(2.5)), sulphur oxide (SO_x), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and noise evaluated from stone crusher industries on local population and vegetation. Generally, boulders are used as a raw material in stone crusher industries for production of grits. The rocks of the above area used for products of grits were of igneous type. The boulders are brought from various hills and mountains rocks of the surrounding area are in endangered condition at present. This activity is not only responsible for changing the ecology of the area but also its local climate. The suspended particulate matter, sulphur oxide (SO_x), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and CO pollution cause a risk for human health and vegetation.
