Precast girders with cast in-situ slab

摘要

The purpose of this article is to highlight the construction methods for flyovers using precast girders with in situ slab in an urban environment. Citing examples, it reviews the intricacies in conception, design and construction practices. The variants of the girder system such as configuration of bearings, continuity namely full depth or only slab continuity, providing sacrificial or structural precast panels for casting the deck slab and spliced girders are discussed.
