Commercially available waterproofing agents in India - A review

Ingress of water into the concrete structures and its effect on the durability of the building is one of the most serious problems in the construction industry. This has emphasized the need to study appropriate materials and methods to circumvent the above problem. Commonly employed waterproofing systems for concrete surfaces are cement-modified systems, membranes, injections and coatings. This review focuses on the various types of systems available in the Indian market.
