Newstec displays optimism for the newspaper industry

It was worth waiting two years. U.K. and Irish newspaper industry providers and leaders met for three days in May in Brighton, England for the Newstec 2003 exhibition. The show and conferences made the event particularly interesting for an industry that, far from losing heart in the face of advertising crises and gloomy predictions, is willing to invest and innovate. And the icing on the cake was the presentation of new products. Although the buzz on the "grapevine" is that Earl's Court in London is to be the future venue for Newstec 2005, Brighton was once again this year (12-14 May) the meeting place for suppliers and decision-makers in the newspaper business in this region.
