摘要

In this paper, we present the theory and design of a tunable microwave notch filter using a simple waveguide line whose length can be varied by varying the position of a sliding short. The notch filter has been implemented at a frequency of 9.34 GHz. Theory has been developed which indicates that the monotone interference accompanying the microwave AM signal can be completely suppressed at the output of the notch filter. The effect of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) accompanying the microwave AM signal has also been calculated.
