PURPOSE: A method for removing an NTSC interference using a three-stage notch filter and an NTSC interference removal filter circuit using the three-stage notch filter are provided to reduce the size of a system by efficiently removing an NTSC component including a visual career, a chrominance subcareer and an aural career of an analog signal in case of a ground wave digital television receipt. CONSTITUTION: An NTSC removal unit(100) is composed of a delay device(110), the first three-stage notch filter(120) and the second three-stage notch filter(130). The first energy generation unit(200) is composed of the first summing device(210), the first square root device(220) and the first integration device(230). The second energy generation unit(300) is composed of the second summing device(310), the second square root device(320) and the second integration device(330). An energy detector(400) receives the first energy(231) and the second energy(331), and provides a select signal(301) detected to an output unit(500). The output unit(500) is composed of a MUX(510).
