What people expect for brain science is contribution for functional development and recovery. A collection of individual reports of disconnected data alone can't achieve this goal. Rather, brain since is required to expand its boundary toward areas of engineering science apart from pure science. To this end, we should use tools and languages used in the field of engineering in order to model computational mechanism of each area in the brain, which enables us to predict how the behaviors would be changed by the modulated parameters embedded in each computational process of the corresponding brain region. We call this approach as "computational neuroanatomy of motor control" and potentially being useful to understand how lesions might cause motor impairments and ataxia. If we can modulate parameters in these computational mechanism using techniques in brain machine interface(BMI) as well as neurofeedback, we might be able to predict how these modulation leads to improve and recover brain functions. Through this approach, brain science is expected to progress to the next stage: understanding brain by controlling brain.%我々が脳を研究する目的のうちの一つは脳機能の回復と改善へ貢献することである。
