PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacture of a cylinder roll for gravure printing by which a strength of a plating layer, which forms an intaglio plate, can be sufficiently assured.;SOLUTION: This method includes: a step at which a recess is formed in the whole of at least an area, which forms an intaglio plate, in an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical cylinder; a step at which plating of at least the area, in which the recess is formed, in the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder is performed, and a plating layer, which embeds the recess and is extended to an outer side with respect to the recess, is formed; and a step at which at least one of cutting and polishing of an outer peripheral surface of the plating layer is performed, and the outer peripheral surface is so made as to be a finished surface.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
