摘要

A pulsed laser source and a capacitance transducer detector havenbeen used to record the propagation of guided waves in carbonnfiber-reinforced polymer composite laminates. Despite the multimodennature of the recorded data, it is shown that the phase velocityndispersion curve of the a0 mode can be extracted readily fromnthe waveforms. Experimental dispersion curves have been compared tonphase velocity predictions from a global matrix theory. Reasonablencorrelation between theory and experiment is obtained, demonstrating thenvalidity of the calculations and experimental method
