摘要

The authors report the first observation of a frequency-dependent memory effect in the thermal history of the AC magnetic permeability in the as-quenched Co/sub 75-x/Fe/sub x/Si/sub 15/B/sub 10/ alloys. The frequency-domain thermomagnetic memory effect (FDTMME) was observed for x>or approximately=25. For higher concentrations the samples crystallize at temperatures lower than the magnetic critical temperature, which greatly reduces the magnetic permeability. The frequency-dependent memory effect is discussed in terms of an existing model for the time response of the magnetic permeability which is based on the domain structure of amorphous materials. The FDTMME shows great potential for development of frequency coding and decoding memory devices.
