An Absorbing Boundary Condition for FDTD Truncation Using Multiple Absorbing Surfaces

An absorbing boundary condition (ABC) is developed using multiple absorbing surfaces. This ABC is stable and efficient. It can be easily added in the finite-difference time-domain computer program. It also produces the same reflection as a higher order Higdon ABC and it is therefore comparable to the perfectly matched layer method
