Alternating projection for maximum-likelihood source localizationusing eigendecomposition

Alternating projection allows us to make a maximum-likelihoodnestimation of arrival angles by one-dimensional search. In this letter,nwe propose an eigendecomposition-based alternating projection methodnthat can greatly reduce computational complexity with no performancendegradation as compared with the direct alternating projection. In thenproposed method, initial estimation can be readily performed with MUSIC,nwhich may lead to further reduction in the computational burden
