A theoretical investigation of the high-speed coupling phenomenanof two laterally coupled diode lasers (LCDL) is presented. The analysisnis centered on the spatiotemporal dynamics of the LCDL when couplingnbetween emitters is varied, We have obtained the dynamic behavior ofnthese devices showing high resonance frequencies beyond the well-knownnresonance frequency of a single diode laser. In this paper, we havenpresented a new modulation scheme by asymmetric switching of theninjected current in both stripes, showing short optical output pulsenmodulation with a high repetition rate
