When I started searching for information and schools for a Masters degree in LIS, I was disappointed to discover there werenno colleges or universities here that offered a program. I didn’t want to leave the comfort of my own state, let alone city, norndid my husband and I want to leave our family and friends in the area. I devoted many a sleepless night to fretting over mynchoice—either to stay here and work on a Master’s that would not get me closer to my desired profession, or pack up andnleave.
