AFRICA SECURING CIVIL AVIATION

摘要

As the ICAO Legal Seminar for States in Africagot underway in Nairobi, Kenya, last November,Uganda deposited its instrument of ratification, the22nd ICAO Member State to do so, bringing theBeijing Protocol into force on 1 January 2018. TenAfrican States are currently party to the BeijingConvention and Beijing Protocol of 2010, the resultof collective efforts of the international community tomodernize the legal framework for aviation security.The Beijing Convention and Protocol supplement theConvention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizureof Aircraft (The Hague Convention 1970 and MontrealConvention 1971).
