A Study on use of Online Information among the Scholars of the School of Biotechnology in Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai

This Paper tries to focus the use of online information by scholars of School of Biotechnology in Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. Forty one per cent of the Respondents use Internet for two hours per day. Forty per cent of respondents seek online information for Academic Improvement. Half of the respondents use Google search engine for searching the information from Internet. Fifty Five per cent of the respondents use pen drive for storing the information from the Internet. Eighty seven per cent of the Respondents use E-mail for communication. Slow access speed is prime problem felt by the Internet users. Among the overall Respondents, majority are satisfied with Internet facilities. More than half of the respondents use the University Central Library daily.
