Tacoma Power once took great pride in pro-ducing fish in a big way, but now the utility is more interested in producing fish in a smart way. The newly reconstructed Cowlitz Salmon Hatchery is a shining example of this changing focus. When it was originally built in 1968, the hatchery was considered state-of-the art. Through the use of innovative design features, the Cowlitz Salmon Hatchery can once again make that claim.
